September 14- celebrated in India as Hindi Diwas
It aims to raise awareness about the language and also commemorate the event when it was adopted as one of the official languages of India (22 languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution)
On 14 September 1949 the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi as the official language.
The first Hindi Diwas was celebrated in 1953
2023 theme- "Hindi: Traditional Knowledge to Artificial Intelligence"
