Industry says that the portal's data spanning multiple ministries could help direct investments into key connectivity projects.
Unveiled in October 2021, prime PM Gati Shakti platform brings together 16 ministries, including Railways and Roadways, so as to spur an integrated and coordinated approach to planning and implementing infrastructure projects.
Aim of the scheme- Cutting logistics costs, increasing cargo handling capacity and reducing the turnaround time at ports to boost trade.
So far, the portal's data is restricted to Central and State government agencies.
