NITI Aayog has released its 3rd edition of India Innovation Index.  Which has prepared by NITI Aayog   and the Institute for Competitiveness .

It ranks the states and the union territories on their innovation performance  to build healthy competition amongst them.

Number of indicators has increased from 36 to 66  with 16 sub pillars.

Karnataka has topped again this year followed by Telangana and Harayana in major states category .

Manipur  is the leading state followed by Uttarakhand and Meghalaya . this category includes 10 states.

Chandigarh  is the top performer  among 9 UTs and city states .
